The file can provide a clean, human-readable guide to selected resources. It should be treated as a supplementary publishing convention, not as a substitute for accessible pages, sound internal linking, or established crawler controls.
What to include
A concise description and links to canonical, useful resources are more defensible than a dump of every URL. The linked pages still need to contain clear, accurate, and supportable information.
What not to infer
The presence of the file does not demonstrate that a model consumed it, ranked the site differently, or will cite the linked pages. Those outcomes need separate observation.
